Participants (flute or saxophone) who want to compete in the Riverbend Competition Concert must be: elementary, junior high, high school, or homeschool equivalent.

Flute and saxophone competitors will only compete against those playing the same instrument.

There is no additional cost to compete.

Age group divisions are listed below.

High School Division

9th-12th Grade

Jr. High Division

7th-8th Grade

Elementary Division

4th-6th Grade

Trophies will be provided for all 1st-3rd place winners, other prizes determined at a later date

For each category, prepare 1-2 short pieces, no longer than 5 min total.

Elementary level may perform method book pieces; Junior High and High School levels should be solos or etudes.

Pieces can be solo instrument OR with accompaniment. 

If a piece has piano, accompaniment must be included!

If you need a pianist, please indicate below. You are also free to bring your own accompanist if you wish.

Results are announced at the end of concert and prizes will be awarded to 1st-3rd in each division.

Judges decisions are final.

Need an accompanist? 

If YES, you are required to send a copy of the piano part.
